Doc and Michelle O’Callaghan are lucky enough to be living in the Philippines and have access to all of our wonderful diving opportunities. After sampling some of the countries delights they decided to expand they diving and took some technical classes in Puerto Galera. Once they were happily certified they wanted to get some diving experience and also to try and view the majestic Thresher sharks.
Of course Evolution has plenty of experience taking people out to the thresher sharks, and we also support all kinds of technical diving. So after some discussions about equipment configurations and all the different types available, Doc and Michelle were kitted out and ready to splash.
Over a period of 5 days Doc and Moc dived The Trench, and Monad Shoal visiting Manta Point, Shark Point, Banner Fish Point and Macklin’s Mound. They also much enjoyed the wreck of the Mogami Maru. Improved gas consumption, improved technique and hopefully increased enjoyment all came from practice, practice and practice.
