Meet the Fleet: The Haldane Reigns!

As one of our two larger boats, The Haldane is a beauty to behold. Out of the water for a little TLC, she’s now freshly painted with a purring, overhauled engine and eager to get back out into the water. The Haldane boasts enough space to comfortably ferry up to 20 divers at a time to Malapascua’s spectacular dive sites.

John Scott Haldane, a Scottish physiologist instrumental to the development of decompression theory, lends his name to our vessel. His experiments with goats led to the first recognized decompression tables in 1908. While scientists have of course made significant strides since Haldane’s original hypotheses, his original research remains a bedrock for much of the subsequent study on decompression science that we still use today.
