The dramatic long tail of the Thresher Shark is what gives it it’s name and also how it hunts fr food. By “threshing” over it’s head with the tail, which is equally as long as it’s body, it stuns its prey and then eats it. Usually targeting small fish like sardines the ‘Tail Strike’ is what everyone really wishes to see.
