Kalanggaman in Typhoon Season

Kalanggaman Island Malapascua Philippines

An absolutely fantastic day at Kalanggaman Island on a very sunny and flat calm day.

A full boat with 12 guests went on a day trip the other day that they will never forget. The day was absolutely perfect, not a ripple on the sea and we had about 100 dolphins in a massive pod on the way out to the island.

Kalanggaman Island is famous in the area for the long sand bar that comes out from the island and its “post card” like scenery. The island is located some 30 km south west from Malapascua and has really nice wall diving. On the dives we saw everything from massive unicorn fish to turtles but also small things such as ornate ghost pipe fish and loads of nudibranchs.

Also on the trip Wyatt and Matt did the last dive of the Open Water course and on the way back a celebration beer was in order.

As you see we have some fantastic weather in August, so its no problem to come and visit us all year around!
