Sunday. It marks the end of the week, the end of the weekend, and the beginning of work the next day. For some it is a day of rest, a day for family, a day of dreadful things to come (work). On this tropical paradise called Malapascua it is far too easy to forget what day it is, but we always know its Sunday when The Craic House cooks crank up the BBQ. Now a tradition seeing guests and staff mingle and students and Instructors chat about love, life and the world aquatic, the weekly BBQ brings people together from all corners of the globe.
Every Sunday our cooks use Filipino style marinades on a selection of meats (Pork, Chicken, Seafood) to serve up succulent BBQ skewers, Pork Belly, Pork Chops and quarter chickens – and the smokey aromas waft throughout the restaurant drawing curious diners in.
The seafood selection is always the catch of the day. Whether it is Chili Garlic Prawns, Stuffed Squid, Dorado Fillet or Tuna Fillet, you can count on fresh grilled seafood hitting your plate. The BBQ also boasts a complimentary salad bar and dip station as well as the option to have all you can drink Rum and Coke for the duration of the BBQ.
It runs from 7pm-9pm but it is the perfect way to finish a busy week and get ready for yet another spectacular week on Malapascua.
