As many of you know already, The Craic House is famed far and wide for its fantastic tropical atmosphere with an Irish twist. It doesn’t look much like an Irish pub as its located on one of the most beautiful beaches in The Philippines but nonetheless a distinct Irish ethos pervades.
Our menu has been described as fusion which is somewhat true but it is also about what tastes good, whats available and importantly, what’s different to all the other menus up and down the Philippines. But one thing really stands out as a culinary achievement by The Craic House kitchen crew and that’s their mastery of making traditional Irish Black Pudding.

Irish black pudding has moved from the B+B breakfast into the haute cuisine scene in stylish Irish restaurants as Chef’s compete to see who can come up with new and original ways to use this great ingredient and the Craic House is no different. Our own artisan pudding can be found in our special Pig’s Cheek Salad and make an incredible accompaniment to our delicious Beef and Guinness Stew when served as a Black Pudding Mash on the side.
And you know what the funny thing is? Since the European bureaucrats got their way traditional artisan pudding makers in Ireland have been forced to make this delicacy with dried powdered blood. Well we didn’t move to the Philippines for nothing. In The Craic House we slaughter our own pig on site and the freshest ingredients are used to make what is actually the only, and most authentic Irish Black Pudding in The Phillipines!
